Our Beliefs
The Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God, the only written revelation from God to man. The Bible is infallible and authoritative rule of faith and conduct for mankind.
God is called by many different names because of the different dimensions of His personality, but God is one. God is multi dimensional and eternally self-existent. God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth. While God is one, He has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the eternal Son of God. The scripture declares His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His substitutionary death on the cross; His bodily resurrection from the dead; His exaltation to the right hand of God.
The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
God created the first marriage as a sacred covenant relationship between one man and one woman for the purposes of procreation, companionship, and dominion over creation, in keeping with the covenant relationship God himself established with his own creation (Genesis 2:15-24; Romans 1:16-32). Jesus blessed the marriage celebration between a man and a woman with his presence and his first public miracle, thereby affirming the traditional definition of marriage as a cornerstone of every culture and community.
Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Because of this we see baptism as an outward expression of an inward decision a believer has made to follow Jesus.

A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross.
We practice communion as a ‘community’. Each month we take time to do as Jesus commanded us to do – remember His sacrifice.

Since baptism is an expression of a decision to follow Jesus, we recognize that parents dedicating their babies to the Lord is a more biblical approach in bringing their children before the Lord.
Every 3-4 months we hold a special Baby dedication ceremony for our church attenders at each of our campuses.

Ocean Church is interdenominational in makeup and strategically aligned with several organizations: The Assemblies of God, The Grow Network, and a Relating Gateway Church.
