COVID-19 ReGathering Update

Updated June 5, 2020

(Lead pastors letter and FAQ below video)

Come together again, when you’re ready.

Starting on Saturday June 20th & 21st, Ocean Church will be regathering for in-person worship services at our Estero and Cape Coral locations. If you choose to attend an in-person worship service, we are committed to complying with health and safety guidelines to make every effort to protect our communities.

During worship gatherings, as a part of Step 2 in our multi-step regathering plan, our main auditorium will be limited to approximately 33% occupancy. We also plan to have dedicated exit points in the auditorium, ongoing sanitization in all areas, and an adjusted seating plan to accommodate additional spacing. Please take a look at our Ocean Church COVID-19 Regather Plan for complete details.

We welcome anyone who chooses to wear masks or other personal protection equipment. We will make masks available to our staff and volunteers as well.

Ocean Church is committed to the health of our community and will scale our gatherings in compliance with the Florida Department of Health and CDC guidance to support efforts in bringing this pandemic to an end in a holistically healthy way.

We’re believing the best days are ahead for the Church!

REGATHERING FAQS

WILL THERE BE RESERVATIONS FOR WEEKEND SERVICES?

At this time, our in-person worship services require a reservation so we can safely accommodate all in attendance.

WILL OCEAN CHURCH ONLINE STILL BE AVAILABLE?

For the past several weeks, we’ve been grateful for the ability to worship together at Ocean, and we encourage you to continue to attend online if you or a family member doesn’t feel well, or if you’re just not ready to attend church at a physical location. You’re part of the Ocean Church family no matter where you choose to attend!

Ocean Church Online is also a great option if you want to invite a friend to join you! On Saturday or Sunday, you can head to oceanchurch.tv to experience worship, the message, and the community of your church family through live chat and prayer. You can also find an online community on our Facebook Page, and our YouTube channel on demand.

WHAT ABOUT KIDS AND YOUTH PROGRAMS?

At this time, Aqua Kids will not be available at any of our locations. We hope to meet again soon! Until then, your entire family is welcome to attend church with you in the auditorium, and we encourage you to continue teaching your kids about Jesus using the OC Aqua Kids YouTube Channel and Bible App for Kids.

Wednesday night YTH programs will resume in-person gatherings on July 8th and do not require reservations at this time. The same safety and health protocols that are in place for our weekend services will apply to YTH services – appropriate personal distancing, sanitization, etc. Don’t forget—your YTH students can stay tuned to Ocean YTH on Instagram and YouTube for content that speaks directly to what they are experiencing.

ARE YOU REQUIRING OR RECOMMENDING THAT PEOPLE WEAR MASKS?

We welcome anyone who chooses to wear masks or other personal protection equipment and will make masks available to our staff and volunteers as well.

WILL TEMPERATURE CHECKS BE REQUIRED?

At this time, we are not requiring temperature checks.

WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERED MORE VULNERABLE OR CARING FOR THOSE WHO ARE?

If you’re vulnerable for any reason we are encouraging you to remain home. If you have any symptoms of sickness or have been around anyone who has shown symptoms, we ask you to remain home from Ocean Church buildings for at least 14 days.
